3. "Bring a hostess gift."

Always bring a token of appreciation to any party. Our favorite gift idea: Chandon American Summer Sparkling Wine. Hopefully the hostess will share this yummy bubbly with you!

4. "Leave a lasting impression."

If you are not the type to dance on the table, its okay. You can leave a lasting impression with your culinary skills by bringing something to share like cookies or pasta salad. If you are lacking in culinary talent, make sure your hostess gift is memorable. Here's a great idea... wrap a bottle of wine in one of our Authentic Vintage USDA bag.

[Limited supply!]

5. "Don't drink other people's drinks."

If you have a habit of losing your drink or accidentally tend to drink from someone else's beer,  you need Beer Bands! There is surely one to fit your party personality!

[$2 each - New Arrival!]

6."Be nice to all the guests!"

Give your guests Beer Gear so they can easily identify their bottle of beer. A cute take home gift too! What's your favorite color?

[$12]

6."Be charming!"

Don't have any guest feel left out! Wine charms are a must have for any wine drinker! Make your own wine charms at Lola's, where there is hundreds of charms to chose from.
[$4]

7."Provide appetizers."

Appetizers help to guests from becoming bussed too quickly. Lola's has tons of cookbooks, filled with delicious appetizer recipes. Otherwise, gourmet cheese and crackers are always an easy and practical great option!

[$3]

8."Make conversation with everyone."

Sometimes there are guests that you are not particularly fond of. Yes, you still have to make an effort to hold a conversation with your husband's uncle or your best friends husband. Its a rule of social ettiquette. However, you can arm yourself with something fun to talk about, like the Citrus Saw. This handy little saw opens your Corona and doubles as a tool to slice your lime.

[$10]

9."Serve everyone drinks as they arrive."

Buy this bottle opener ring for your husband and he will gladly open all the guests beer as they arrive. Its a must have accessory for any beer drinking party go-er!
[$6]

10. "Serve a delicious meal."

Summer is the time for burgers, brats and steaks on the grill. Grill Charms are an easy way to make sure all your guests food is cooked to their exact specifications. They are cute, stainless steel and reusable. A great investment! Lola's also has an entire line of grilling items: cookbooks, spices, individual meat thermometers and more!

[Charms $16]

Keep memories by taking photo's, set aside time to enjoy life and always remember to invite everyone... the more the merrier!

LOVE THAT IKAT

[RedBird Vintage Home]

Prints are huge in home decor and fashion now, and nobody loves jumping aboard a design bandwagon more than I do.  Stripes?  Love!  I use them a lot in my business AND even sacrificed my favorite striped rug from home, for my shop.  Pottery Barn, on sale!  I saw the same rug in Cheryl Crowe's NYC loft in Elle Decor magazine!  Yes, stripes are trendy now, but they're so classic -- they'll never be out of style.

I recently started loving another print that's currently very trendy: Ikat (pronounced "ee-cat").  You may not know that word, so here's the Wikipedia definition:

Ikat, or Ikkat, is a dyeing technique used to pattern textiles that employs a resist dyeing process similar to tie-dye on either the warp or weft fibres.

Okay!  That wasn't very helpful, was it?  I'll bet you'd know it if you saw it.  Have a look-see at my new Ikat print maxi dress from -- of all places -- Wal-Mart!  You KNOW something's popular when it turns up at Wal-Mart!

Last summer we stenciled an accent wall in Ikat, using a huge stencil I found on etsy.  I like the way its ethnic simplicity fits in our 20's bungalow.  It's modern and vintage at the same time, which is how I decorate.  I chose this motif partly because I hoped to stencil Ikat pillows for my business.  The "real" woven Ikat ones are wildly expensive on etsy, and mine are a very affordable alternative.  I think our couch needs a pair stenciled in dark blue!  What are your thoughts?  Would Ikat fit into your decor?

JUNE MARKET

This past Saturday is a blur.
Here is my day:

Up at 4:30 a.m. My good friend, Super Julie arrives at 5:20, to rescue me with her truck. We load the back of the truck with the for the 3 French Hens Market. Items that wouldn’t fit in the van. Off to Canal Port Plaza to set up for this French-style market. Less than five minutes later, (YES, I am very fortunate to live in Morris) we were unloading. Thanks to Micaiah, a volunteer from the youth center and Julie, it went very quickly. We set up the booth with a children’s theme. Before I knew it the customers were arriving and buying…AND I had forgotten to take pictures. So a chair, a table, a metal stool and a puppet theater later I managed to get out the camera. As you can see, Violet loves bright colors!

Brightly colored dance bags, drawstring backpacks, treasure keepers and pillows.

Who wouldn’t love this cute cabinet in their playroom?

Chalk painted vintage children’s furniture..

Perfect for your little readers bedside table

Available for the little guy: ties, book bags, backpacks, treasure keepers and pillows.

Then before I knew it, 2 p.m. had arrived. To my surprise at the end of a very hot day, my sister, Tracy and nieces Danielle and Haley, showed up to help me pack up the van. It was a busy day, no truck was needed for the trip home.
