[Some of my favorites blogs, stores and facebook pages to follow]
Aren't you thrilled when you find inspirational blog, groovy store or fabulous site to follow? I am! I think that is why Pintrest became so popular, so quickly. We love to gaze, adore and be motivated. So, be prepared... here are a few of my favorites:
STORES
Philadelphia, PA
This is my favorite online store to browse. Everything is amazing! I wish I lived closer to view all the amazing items up close. I am inspired every time I visit this web site. I subscribe to their mailing list and its like a visual treat in my inbox whenever an email arrives from Three Potato Four. Enjoy!
This store has been called the head of the class. I love its ultra masculine and cool vintage items. It was recently featured in Chicago Home and Garden magazine - and is definitely worth the click to view their merchandise online. I have resolved that I would gladly merge any of their items into my own décor at home. Very cool shop!
A customer recently told me about this store. I have to visit in person, but love to view their vintage finds. They have great pieces and a very industrial vibe. I feel if Lola's had a Chicago-based cousin, this store would be it!
One of my favorite Etsy sites. Lucky Little Dot never fails to make me drool. They have the most unique, vintage treasures. If you are looking for a rare, one-of-a-kind gift (and can't find it at Lola's) check out this site. Its fun to even peruse and view the treasures from yesterday.
BLOGS
Tulsa, OK
This blog offers a sorts of fun. Kara has a knack for decorating! She has worked for Anthropologie, is remodeling & decorating her home and is a design consultant. She posts beautiful photos, easy to follow tips, and makes you want to redecorate ever room in your house! This is one of my favorites!
I have said it before, I love the photo's on this blog! Unfortunately this blog hasn't updated in while, but there is so many to photo's to view - it doesn't matter! Every photo is better than the previous photo with great style, pop's of color and a flair for incorporating industrial into a home environment.
FACEBOOK
This is a new discovery for me. I was referred to this facebook page through another page I follow. I love The Cottage's eclectic mix of yesterdays treasures, innovative idea's and funny quotes. This page always posts something new, and not always the same post theme. Check it out. I have actually enjoyed their posts additions into my news stream.
I may be a bit biased because this is one of the boutique's inside Lola's, but RedBird Vintage Home by Kay Holsted is one of my favorite facebook pages. I love her style, inspiration, spunk and sass. I feel like she and Ralph Lauren must be related somehow. In fact, he probably stalks her facebook page for new idea's. This is definitely a page to 'like'.
I am not sure how I came across this page, but I love their painted furniture. If you are considering painting any piece, check this out The Wookey Hole. They have a technique they call: Wookized. They occasionally post new photo's, and some of their other crafty pieces are not my style - but I love to look through their photo albums of before and after furniture photo's. Great inspiration is you are thinking about using color!
