I was standing in my shop the other day when I heard someone exclaim, "Look at all that red!" Seems I found a kindred spirit -- someone who shares my love! Of course, this made me smile, because I know much effort I put into including OTHER colors in my shop. Really . . . I do try! But since I've climbed on the red bandwagon this morning, why not share some inspirational photos with the class? It was super easy for me -- all I had to do was head to my Pinterest pins and voila! There they are!
Seriously, I love the patina of old paint -- or in this case, maybe -- new paint made to look old. This photo op has me wanting to paint a huge red cross on a wall somewhere!
I couldn't love this more! Looks like someone repurposed gas station numbers and made an awesome cabinet. Wouldn't this make a fantastic statement in a neutral room? And don't you love that herringbone wooden floor? Looks like France to me!
HA! Here's a match made in Kay heaven -- Converse high toppers + red + "YOU ROCK!" I would totally love to get this for my grandlad! Or how about one for my sewing studio? Yes, I think I'll order it!
Is less really more? Or is it just a bore? These 2 different rooms are both blissfully "bizzy", and each contains my color! Notice how the red artwork pops in the mostly neutral bathroom! And show of hands, please! -- who props stuff instead of hanging it? I think it's very stylish and cool! The Dallas living room goes all out with the red stuff, and I love it! Note to self: a sofa table doesn't HAVE to be high, try a sofa bench, instead!
I know what I want for Christmas, Santa -- and it's all in this photo! YUM! That striped rug is of the indoor/outdoor persuasion, people! All you have to do is hose it off and it's clean! This makes it perfect for a runner for our galley kitchen (we have 2 dogs, so you know what I mean!) P.S. Santa -- I'll take that vintage boat, too!
Wow, this chair has me swooning, and yes, please! I'd like some huge gingham checks! I super love the way the traditional wingback chair's been updated with a huge, horizontal stripe fabric. This is what I've been trying to do at home and at the shop -- tweak my rustic cottage with more modern!
I have to get these because they make me happy! How about you? Do you share the love? What color makes YOU happy? (This is research, people -- for those times when I'm incorporating other colors into RedBird Vintage Home!) TY for viewing all the red!
